I have always been an avid animal lover and have owned horses for more than 50 years. As a junior, I competed in hunters, saddle seat, breed shows, and eventing. Today, I have the privilege of owning three horses: Boomer, a retired Paint; Willow, a young draft cross; and Anari, a young crossbred mare.
While I have used PEMF in the past, I decided to purchase my own machine after realizing that Willow, who carries the n/PSSM1 gene, benefited from regular sessions as part of her comfort and wellness routine as a riding horse.
In addition to horses, I have cared for many animals over the years, including dogs, cats, goats, and several types of poultry. In 1996, my husband and I acquired our first Mastiff, Buffy, which began a lifelong love of the breed. Since then, we have had the pleasure of sharing our lives with nine Mastiffs—at times having as many as four at once. I have shown two to their championships, bred two litters, and earned a Rally Excellent title with one of our girls.
Currently, we share our home with one Mastiff, our 7-year-old Codex. She experienced bilateral cruciate injuries while training in rally and underwent two TPLO surgeries in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, after showing signs of discomfort, she was diagnosed with arthritis in her knees and calcification in the surrounding tendons. Under the guidance of her veterinarian, she follows a management plan to support her comfort, which now includes PEMF sessions as part of her overall wellness routine.
Although we know our time with her is precious, I am happy to share that she appears comfortable and active, enjoying daily walks and time exploring the pastures.
I became certified to help others support the comfort and well-being of their animals—whether they are active in their chosen sport, spending time resting after injury, illness, or surgery, or enjoying their senior years.
